Quinn Christie started Velveteen Prints in January 2011 to provide original prints to the apparel industry. In her prints Christie references elements of traditional crafts, dyeing processes, weaving, knitting, celestial themes such as moonscapes, painterly, abstract and and non-print prints. In her apartment/studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn, Christie’s workspace evokes the deeply textured and colorful surfaces that appear throughout her prints. LINE takes a peek.
